Go4Life Support Scheme Launched

The Go4Life support scheme has been launched in North Somerset.

By being involved in the support scheme individuals, community groups, organisations and workplaces can potentially access funding for a project that will help in establishing new physical activity opportunities. 

There are a number of funding streams.  These include:

• Physical activity fund
• Training fund
• First step fund
• Shortfall fund

The closing date to apply for any of the funds is 31 March 2009.

Go4Life is a North Somerset Partnership scheme which encourages and supports people in the district to adopt an everyday healthy lifestyle.  Go4Life has a specific target to increase in the proportion of adults in North Somerset achieving at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity at least three times a week.
