3. Recommendations identfied through the North Somerset Health Profile 2009

The health profile is broadly similar to the findings of the JSNA, and therefore endorses previous recommendations. Specific issues that need to be addressed more thoroughly are:

• The need to review mental health services to identify any specific gaps giving rise to high levels of disability locally
• The need to ensure services for identifying people with diabetes are robust: we need to be sure the low level is a genuine reflection of a healthy population rather than a result of poor ascertainment
