Local Area Agreement 2007-2010
The successful completion of the 2007-2010 North Somerset Local Area Agreement resulted in the Partnership achieving over £2.5million of performance reward grant.
The LAA was a key piece of partnership work, and by working together, we were able to make a difference to people's lives by achieving some tough improvement targets for the area. With a 96% result this achievement is the best not only in the South West but nationally.
Our results
The performance reward grant was used to fund a number of projects put forward by the then delivery partnerships. The projects built on the good work developed through the LAA and continue to make a difference in our local communities.
About this LAA
The first North Somerset Local Area Agreement (pdf, 1303k) began in April 2007.
The North Somerset Partnership led negotiations around a range of outcomes, which supported the implentation of the Sustainable Community Strategy, under four blocks or themes:
- Children and young people
- Economic Development & Enterprise
- Healthier communities and older people
- Safer and stronger communities
The NSP set up a sub-group (which became an Executive) to work on developing the agreement and monitor its delivery.
