Our structure

In 2011 the NSP undertook a review of its structure and purpose in response to a number of significant policy changes introduced by the Coalition Government elected in 2010.

Whilst partners remained committed to delivery of the Sustainable Community Strategy and to working in partnership it was clear that changing circumstances required a new, more streamlined way of working.

As a result of the review a number of structural changes were agreed, particularly to the Executive and delivery partnerships.

Our Structure 2011 (pdf, 32k)

The NSP Board remains as the overarching Board of the partnership. The Executive has been de-commissioned and the four delivery partnerships brought together into two new Boards.

The two new Boards are the:

  • People & Communities Board
  • Infrastructure and Local Economy Board

The People and Communities Board brings together the Health & Wellbeing, Safer Stronger and Children & Families delivery partnership work programmes and responsibilities.

The Infrastructure and Local Economy Board takes on the role of the Transport, Economy & Environment delivery partnership together with wider responsibilities.

Communities and local people will continue to have the opportunity to influence our work by identifying local issues.

The new structure will be reviewed on a regular basis as the Partnership develops in the future.
